Rebecca J. Woodward, D.M.D.
Dr. Woodward is a graduate of Bates college and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She practices all phases of general dentistry and especially enjoys cosmetic restoration and pediatric dentistry. She is Past President of the South County Dental Society. Dr. Woodward is well versed in women's medical and dental health issues. Dr. Woodward is a member of the Shoreline Synergy implant study group which meets regularly to discuss innovations and solutions in implant dentistry. Her interests include perennial gardening, art history, and water color painting. Dr. Woodward currently teaches watercolor at Avondale Arts.

What was the last book you read?
Theft by Finding by David Sedaris and The Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles (I usually read two books at a time)

What quote do you consider most inspirational?
"Prepare for the worst, hope for the best."

Have you ever won the lottery?
I have won the lottery- getting to live and work in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

If you could speak with any historical figure from the past whom would it be and what would you ask them?
Madame Currie. I would tell her that her life’s work helps me help others everyday.

What would be your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be digging for dinosaur bones or opals in the American west.

The best thing about RI is that the ocean is not far from any place in Rhode Island. What are 3 things you can’t live without?
My family, mascara, and a toothbrush - in that order!

One thing I love that most people dislike is scary movies. What was the best birthday gift you received as a child?
My chair drive tricycle.

Where would we most likely find you on a Sunday?
On the beach- East Beach in Watch Hill or home watching film noir on the old movie channel.

Adam S. Kaufman, DMD
Dr. Kaufman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He practices all aspects of general dentistry and enjoys pediatric and geriatric care. He is past president of the South County Dental Society and is a delegate to the Rhode Island Dental Association. Dr. Kaufman is a member of the Shoreline Synergy implant study group which meets regularly to discuss innovations and solutions in implant dentistry. He has restored simple and complex implant cases with remarkable results. His interests include cruising the waters between Long Island and Cape Cod and is a member of the Westerly Fire Department and the Westerly Power Squadron. Dr. Kaufman is a founder and president of Westerly Area Youth Lacrosse. He has coached boys' and girls' teams at the youth level and is a coach for the Westerly High School Boys' team.

What quote do you consider most inspirational?

Have you ever won the lottery?
I have won $3.00 on a Power ball ticket. . . not enough to retire on.

If you could speak with any historical figure from the past whom would it be and what would you ask them?
I would ask General George Patton how he would handle the middle east conflict.

What would be your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be on a boat somewhere warm.

What is your favorite time of year and why?
I like summer most of all because I enjoy being on the boat with my family.

The best thing about RI is the abundance of recreational activities. Boating, fishing, clamming, swimming, and following political scandals all make RI a fun state.

What are 3 things you can't live without?
I can’t live without occasional sunny days, the smell of salt water in the air, and the support of my family and friends.

One thing that I love that most people dislike is a boiled tongue sandwich with mustard on rye bread. Hey, every culture has its challenging food delicacies you have to give it a try!

What was the best birthday gift you received as a child?
The best birthday gift was the arrival of my Bubbie and Pop Pop from Philadelphia with a trunk load of fresh fruit.

Where would we most likely find you on a Sunday?
At some point on Sunday, I will likely be found at home with the newspaper and the dog and looking forward to dinner with Becky and Isaac.

What would be your dream vacation? My dream vacation would be to travel the country, spending time in all 50 states.

What is your favorite time of year and why? Fall. I love the cool air and all the leaves changing color- but not the raking!

One thing I love that most people dislike is winter storms! I love the snow.

What was the best gift you received as a child? Horseback riding lessons

Where would we most likely find you on a Sunday? Summers I would be outside working in the garden or bike riding. Winters I watch college basketball, especially UCONN!!

What would be your dream vacation?My dream vacation would be a few weeks in Fiji.

What is your favorite time of year and why?​​ My favorite time of year is definitely summer. I cannot get enough of the ocean and it doesn’t matter if I’m by the beach, fishing, swimming, or just hanging out on the boat.

The best thing about RI are the beaches… and Block Island!!

What are 3 things you can’t live without?​​ Family, friends, and mascara!

One thing I love that most people dislike is sticky humid weather.

What was the best gift you received as a child?​ The best birthday gift I received was either Jesse, my Cabbge Patch Doll, or my pink Barbie Big Wheel.

Where would we most likely find you on a Sunday?​ Depends on the season, but you will definitely find us on the boat in the summer! Other times of the year, it is a day for shopping, cooking, and relaxing with my family.

It wasn’t as a child. For my 40th birthday it was a weekend long celebration. My parents took me and my two best friends to Federal Hill for dinner. The next night I had a surprise party with everyone I love. It was a fantastic birthday.

During Nascar season, you will find me at my parents watching a race. During the winter I am home in my sweat pants cooking something.
